I grew up on the east coast, on a farm in Northeast Maryland. I’ve been in the ag/farm community and around animals my whole life and followed that passion out Kansas State University where I studied Ag Business/Ag Technology. I am now working with a John Deere dealership out of Great Bend, Kansas. I am extremely passionate about photography and hunting, mainly waterfowl and upland, but I do a little bit of everything. My friends and I grew up hunting ducks and geese on the creeks and any little cornfield we could get on. I knew right away that chasing waterfowl was my passion, or so I thought at the time. My best friend growing up had two GSP’s that we started to work a lot with raised birds (which is the only option back east). We would plant the birds out in fields and work the dogs. Watching these dogs do what they were bred to do was very eye opening for me. It didn’t take long for me to decide I wanted to get a hunting dog and take him out west to hunt in Kansas. My English pointer, Duke, is from a hunting preserve/breeder near my hometown in Maryland. I got Duke when he was 7 months old and he had already gone through some training at the breeders kennel but I took it upon myself to try to finish the rest of it. Living in Great Bend now, we are blessed with an abundance of wild game to pursue together and continue to learn as we go, all the while trying to capture some of those moments through a lens.
